 It's no surprise that I became a stylist as I enjoying making my clients look and feel their best. My passion is for creating beautiful natural lived-in color that grows out seamlessly.

 
Career and education background: 

I have been in the beauty industry since 2012. I did my cosmetology training while still in high school my junior and senior year at the East Valley Institute of Technology in Mesa.

 After graduation I worked at the Altered Ego salon in Tempe as an assistant to  the owner for about a year before taking on my own clients. 

 From there I excelled in creating colors and cuts and grew a wonderful clientele. I enjoyed working there for years before I dreamed up creating my own business. 

 I started Hair By Sonnie LLC in the summer of 2018 and have been happily been working at the Palette Collective building ever since. 

 On my own I have been doing many attentional trainings such as color and hair extensions. Some of my favorite classes I've attended have been taught by Marissa Sue (Glow Education), Michelle Zeller Porumb (Mane Ivy), Becky Miller color techniques and color techniques by Jessica VanDerWouden.
